Welcome to my HCPC registered Educational Psychology practice, a learning and assessment consultancy service in Lincolnshire! Based in the beautiful Wolds and covering areas such as Woodhall Spa, Horncastle, Lincoln, Louth, Sleaford and Boston, this is a local company to serve a smaller area than a local authority as a whole, designed to work on a more regular and in-depth basis with a smaller number of settings. The main area of specialism is educational testing in order to help schools and families support children to succeed academically, emotionally and socially. Having recently moved to the area, there is a much smaller waiting time than many local authority or private assessment services can offer.
If you are from a setting I have not worked with before, please contact me to discuss how I can improve on any existing provision your setting is receiving. At times, I am able to offer settings reduced assessment costs by combining visits for multiple pupils therefore reducing travel time and making the time in the setting more efficient. I may be able to offer a volume discount for Multi Academy Trusts wishing to make bookings for several schools.
The assessments used are those available only to professionals who are either trained in Educational Psychology or who have completed the relevant level of training in educational testing. Testing materials are the current up-to-date kits with recognised norms.
Identification of a child’s strengths and needs can help staff plan for the child’s future teaching and learning, curriculum access and any necessary adaptations. This also includes pupils with high learning potential.
Involving parents, staff and young people and using a problem-solving and solution-focused approach which helps schools make action plans about how to further improve the child’s access to learning in school
Promoting children's engagement in music and drama and enabling performance opportunities to build confidence, resilience, team work, and the experience of supporting others.
HCPC registered Educational Psychologist
I worked as a qualified Educational Psychologist for over 10 years, during which time I was employed by two very different local authorities. When my family and I moved from north west England to Lincolnshire, I decided not to continue as an Educational Psychologist in local authority work as I wanted to spend more time with my family, be able to pick the children up from school, and not have a long commute or time taken up by lengthy team meetings. Instead, I decided to set up my own assessment and consultation service, allowing me to focus on the aspects of the role that I enjoyed the most and found were the most beneficial to children and the schools I worked with. I continue to be registered with the HCPC.
Please see the “About” section for a more in-depth description of my qualifications and experience.
