Children's Learning Assessment

and Support Services

Welcome to my HCPC registered Educational Psychology practice, a learning and assessment consultancy service in Lincolnshire, covering areas such as Woodhall Spa, Horncastle, Lincoln, Louth, Sleaford and Boston, and beyond.

I provide high-quality psychological assessment and consultation for children and young people. My work centres on understanding each child's unique learning, cognitive and emotional profile, and translating that understanding into clear, practical discussions regarding support in school. As an independent Educational Psychologist, I am able to offer significantly shorter waiting times than many local authority or larger/national services, ensuring that children, families and schools can access specialist input quickly and efficiently when it is most needed.

I offer in-depth Psychological Learning Assessments, including detailed cognitive and attainment testing, using current, standardised assessment materials available only to appropriately trained professionals. These assessments go beyond surface-level measures to clarify complex learning profiles, particularly where pupils are demonstrating difficulties with progress, previous interventions have not brought clarity, or there is uncertainty about the nature of a pupil's difficulties. Findings can provide robust evidence for schools to inform targeted intervention, support applications for statutory assessment, contribute to EHCP processes, and assist with decisions regarding specialist provision or placement.

I work with parents and schools who need clear, independent psychological assessment evidence to support important educational decisions. This may include providing assessment information for EHCP needs assessments and reviews or where a move from mainstream to specialist provision is being considered. I also provide detailed assessment information to support parent-led appeals and tribunal processes.

If you are a member of staff from a setting I have not worked with before, I welcome a conversation about how my input can complement and strengthen your existing provision. Where appropriate, I can combine visits for multiple pupils to reduce travel time and overall costs, and I may be able to offer reduced rates for settings booking several assessments, including Multi Academy Trusts seeking support across a number of settings.

Dr Elizabeth Davies

HCPC registered Educational Psychologist

I have been a qualified Educational Psychologist for over 15 years, for 10 years of which I was employed by two very different local authorities. When my family and I moved from north west England to Lincolnshire, I decided not to continue in local authority work as I wanted more flexibility to spend more time with family, be able to pick the children up from school, and not have a long commute or time taken up by lengthy team meetings.

I decided to set up my own HCPC registered Educational Psychology assessment and consultation service, allowing me to focus on the aspects of the role that I enjoyed the most and found were the most beneficial to children and the schools I worked with.

Please see the “About” section for a more in-depth description of my qualifications and experience.
